Our Commitment to Accessibility

At M&J, we understand the importance of creating a website that is inclusive and accessible to all users. This page outlines:

  • Our approach to ensuring website accessibility

  • The features we have implemented to enhance accessibility

  • How to contact us with questions or feedback

Our Approach

We strive to meet or exceed the Level A criteria of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Accessibility Initiative (WCAG WAI) 2.0 guidelines.

Accessibility Features

Keyboard Access
We provide ‘skip to main content’ links to allow users to bypass the navigation menu and go directly to the main content.

Text Size
You can adjust the text size using your browser’s text resize option: View – Text Size.

Alternative Text for Images
All images include appropriate alternative text.

Heading Elements
We use HTML heading elements to structure our pages, aiding assistive technologies in navigating from heading to heading.

Link Text
All hyperlinks are designed to make sense when read out of context and are clearly distinguished from regular text.

JavaScript Independence
Where JavaScript or other scripts are used, we provide alternative mechanisms for browsers that do not support these scripts.

Colour Contrast
We ensure sufficient contrast between text and background colours and avoid using colour alone to convey information.

Style Sheets
We use Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) for page presentation and structured markup for content. If CSS is not supported or is turned off, the site remains accessible and readable.
